A Tale of Rooms
Collaborating with a wide range of creatives native to the Hudson Valley and beyond, The Maker brings a bespoke experience to hospitality and bohemian sensibility to design. The spaces are a sophisticated curation of different periods that create a home where eclectic design and comfort can exist harmoniously.
Our property is an intimate sanctuary, comprised of 11 spacious rooms spread across three historic buildings.
Every room is completely unique and has a story to tell.
All rooms are accessible via stairs, except for the ADA-compliant bedroom located on the ground floor. Please note, there is no elevator available at the hotel.
THE MAKER STUDIOS
The four Maker Studios are inspired by the world of distinct makers. Located in the historic Georgian Mansion building, these expansive rooms have living areas and fireplaces with spectacular details.
THE ARCHITECT
The Architect Studio imagines the world of an architect’s living space in the 1940’s and their vision of modern design. The room reflects a disciplined approach between light, scale, textures and materials to create an emotional atmosphere.

THE ARTIST
The inspiration behind the Artist Studio is the integration of a work and living space, where the place of creation and residence is interlaced for the ultimate bohemian refuge. A mélange of time periods, with sensual brushstrokes of rich colors and patterns paired with extensive artwork.

THE GARDENER
The space captures the mindset of The Gardener, inspired by late 19th century iron garden pavilions where the exterior and interior blend seamlessly together. Wrought iron, normally reserved for outdoors, is blended with soft furnishings and various flora art to create a lush evocative space.

THE TERRACE LOFT
Reminiscent of bohemian rooftop studios in 1920’s Paris, they are filled with light from dormer windows and french doors leading into terraces with outdoor seating. These lofts are airy and informal, filled with eclectic art and a giant daybed that invites afternoon naps, late night conversations or a date with a book.
